ABOUT THE PROJECT

"The Woollahra hotel has long been one of the Eastern suburbs most iconic venues. From the large open roof terrace, to the one hatted restaurant, Bistro Moncur, it has retained a loyal clientele," says Katharine Formosa, Interior Designer for Ryan's Hotels. "Recently the owners, wanted to open the hotel up to a new crowd. They saw a gap in the market and decided to create a new environment within the hotel named The Terrace,"

"The brief was to create a relaxed outdoor area to attract a new younger crowd to the hotel. In collaboration with the manager, Jeremy Rockey, we wanted to push the name of the The Terrace to extend to the interiors and create a fun, unique and relaxed interior," says Katharine. "The result is a classic environment with splashes of colour and lots of beautiful plants. The environment is reminiscent to a lush indoor garden. The sort of place you want to relax in with a good bottle of wine,"

THE COLLABORATION WITH CAFE CULTURE

“I have used Cafe Culture on numerous hospitality projects over the last 9 years and they have always responded with professionalism. Their range of furniture is varied in style and price point which is good when you are piecing together a large selection of furniture,”
